This is made up of 2" squares and lots of different triangles and half-squares over iron-on grid. The face, hand, and trumpet are machine appliqued, but everything else is pieced. While making this, I developed a new technique for cutting and sewing the triangular pieces. This won a second place at the more prestigious West Overton Museum show, just east of Pittsburgh.
